The Triangle Gallery is pleased to present "The Invariants of the Light", the new personal exhibition of paintings by Eva Arakcheeva (b. 1989, lives and works in Moscow)
Opening reception April, 14 at 19:00. Through May 22 2026.
In her artistic research, Eva Arakcheeva turns to philosophical principles. Following her first trip to Italy, she created a new series of works, "Invariants of Light", conceptually continuing her exploration of the facets of thought embodied in the visual form of the derealism—a concept she developed. In this new project, the artist explores light as an integral component of our perception of reality.
"The knowledge of the world is not only possible by scientific means but also through intuition, sensual experience and insights. However, the conscience of the person should be broadened for these purposes. Such an enlargement can take place in a person’s thoughts, reveries, dreams and memory. These processes are some kind of windows into that diversity (or wholeness) of the reality in which the human being finds himself. However, the physiological limits of the perception do not give us the possibility to catch it in its fullness. The human being is able to see only reflections, glints, luminescence. Light can take different forms: being a fire of the candle, a reflection of the mirror, a patch of the window or an intellectual insight; but its main feature – lighting the darkness – remains unchangeable for ages."
