Triangle Gallery is pleased to announce The Space of Variations or Shining Chaos, a new personal exhibition of works by Andrey Efimov (b.1993 , lives and works in Yaroslavl, Russia) .
Opening reception December, 9 at 19:00. Through January 16, 2026.
The fast pace of modern life, the rapid rise of technology, and constant change push me to turn toward the timeless themes of nature, humanity, and the cosmos. In my work, I try to develop my own visual language for life in all its forms—one that is not tied to any specific place or moment in time.
I imagine life as a constellation of shapes and objects suspended in a kind of space; this is how my abstract, fantastical, self-contained worlds emerge.
Through these worlds I hope to grasp the deeper logic behind the growth and organization of life. I speak about what captures my imagination: the creative energy of nature, the diversity of flora and fauna; the complexity of people and their many ways of living; the different structures societies can take; and, finally, the endless possibilities of life beyond Earth.
In my work I develop a distinct visual vocabulary—vivid colors, varied forms, gradients, stars, and points—meant to create a rich inner life within each piece. Composition plays a central role, highlighting different degrees of order, from chaos to complete harmony.
I hope these works can bring people together precisely through their distance from any fixed context. They are meant as a pure expression of life, growth, and movement, and as a visual experience shaped by abstract storytelling, open to personal interpretation.
It is important to me that these worlds preserve their autonomy and fantastical, enigmatic atmosphere, and that they “speak” in their own original language. This is why, instead of conventional titles, I use combinations of Latin letters, numbers, and symbols. They serve as unique graphic yet abstract expressions of each work—as a kind of cipher, a set of coordinates, or a password whose meaning I leave open to the viewer.
